My room mate went to the first game of the World Series in New York. He is a big Yankees fan and has been ever since I've known him. The Yankees, however, got their butts kicked last night. Cliff Lee the starting pitcher for the Phillis was dominate. He pitched the entire game and allowed no earned runs. He confused the Yankees hitters with his off speed, and his location of his fastball. The "heroic" Alex Rodriguez had a nice three strikeout game. Chase Utley a Phillis player had two big solo home runs. The Phillis lead the serious 1-0 now. The Phillis can hopefully beat the Yankees out.

My favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird. It and Frankenstein are the only books that I have read more than just once. Atticus Finch is my favorite character in any book or any movie/television show. His character is very honest and upright. He teaches his kids, Scout and Jem, a bunch of really good lessons in the book. He also represents a black man in a rape case when no one else is willing to. His good character permits him to see past black and white and focus on helping the innocent Tom Robbins in a time in this country, especially the South, when blacks were not given the same rights as white people. To Kill a Mockingbird is a great read because it tells such a good story.

It is almost Halloween. My girlfriend is coming back to town, and she expects me to dress up with her and go to a party. I haven't dressed up for Halloween since I was like eight. I don't particularly like Halloween, and I don't even like candy that much. The whole thing at my age seems pointless. I understand if you are a little kid and you go trick-or-treating, I get that, that is fun. I also understand if you are an adult with a younger kid and you wanna make it special for your kid, so you get into it also. But, Halloween doesn't really take to my fancy at this particular point in my life. I guess I will have to find some costume, and at least pretend to enjoy this silly holiday even though I find it pointless.

Yesterday I played in a golf fundraiser. It was a four person scramble. My team did pretty good. We finished the day at seven under par. Our team consisted of two of my friends, my brother, and myself. None of us play gold a bunch and I think we did pretty good considering that. With four people it was usually pretty certain that at least someone would hit a good shot, so that worked out well. We could have three of players hit bad shots and as long as one hits a decent shot, we get to go from where that one is for our next shot. I think the team that won was like thirteen under par, so we weren't to far off. It was definitely a fun day.

The baseball team traveled to Paris, Texas today. We played Paris JC in a fall game this afternoon. We left shortly after 9am and got there a little after 11am. We stopped at a McDonalds along the way for some food. The game started at noon and we went eighteen innings. It didn't finish till about six at night. It was a very long day to say the least. However, I am home now and will be going to bed very soon. I have been looking forward to getting back in bed since I got up at 7:50am. This is very exciting to get some sleep.

I watched Always Sunny in Philadelphia for the first time tonight. The episode that I watched was pretty good. The antics of the cast members was quite humorous. They were in the court room explaining to the judge why one of the members of the group shouldn't pay his car tickets. They had a very wild story on how they couldn't get into the Phillis game. When they tried to get there they ended up getting locked in a closet. Eventually they got thrown out the court room, and the guy had to pay his tickets. It was a good episode.

Alex Rodriguez has transformed from a superstar who was only average in playoffs, to a superstar who is super in playoffs. He has five home runs already in the playoffs. His slugging percentage is a thousand, and he now has eight consecutive postseason games with an RBI, that ties a Major League Record. Rodriguez five home runs have been in less then thirty at bats. During his previous 130 at bats prior to this years playoffs, he also had five home runs. His numbers for the postseason are astonishing. People are calling him Mr. Clutch. What happened to A-Rod is cheater? The mind set that a majority of baseball fans had earlier this year, when he confessed to taking steroids. I guess having one of the best postseasons in baseball history has put a shadow over his steroid use, for now.

The baseball team has open gym basketball every Tuesday nights. I am fixing to leave for that as soon as I finish this blog. Most of the baseball players are pretty poor at basketball, and most of the players are pretty dirty. There seems to be somewhat of a scuffle almost every time we play. The components of high testosterone and everyone pissed off because they suck amounts to lost of pushing and shoving. We usually play for about an hour or so. The games are five on five and a lot of the time the teams are unevenly matched. I will see how the basketball goes today.

We finally got to get back out on the field today in baseball. The recent weather had restricted us to no real field time in about two weeks. Tomorrow we are going to scrimmage another school. It is suppose to be 18 innings long which will take forever. I got a lot of studying to do tomorrow night, and it stinks that our games are gonna go so long. I got a biology test on Wednesday, and then a pre-cal test on Thursday. I am not to worried about the biology test, but the pre-cal one should be quite difficult.

Good weekend of football. The only disappointment was that the Cowboys did not play. Well actually they probably would have lost, so maybe it was a relief. I very must enjoyed the College games on Saturday, especially Texas beating OU, and I also enjoyed the NFL games today. The Saints put a whooping on the evil Giants. Which is good because they were undefeated and they play in the Cowboys division. My favorite player to watch, when I can't watch the Cowboys, is Adrian Peterson. He had a great game which was fun to watch.

The Red River Shootout is today. The game is between University of Texas and Oklahoma University. The game is at the Cotton Bowl just over in Dallas. I am routing for Texas, mainly because I hate Same Bradford the OU quarterback. One of my high school buddies plays for Texas. He is one of their running backs and had played a lot till he got hurt. Hopefully Texas can beat Oklahoma today.

In Seinfeld the character Kramar never really has a job. He doesn't seem to do any kind of work. All the other main characters jobs are shown frequently throughout the episodes. Jerry is of course a comedian. George has many different jobs and spots of talked about unemployment. He works for the Yankees at one point during the show. Elaine is either working as a assistant for Mr. Pitt, or she works for J. Peterman Catalogue. The other there main characters have regular jobs, but Kramar never seems to work. In one episode he stops his twelve year long strike at a bagel shop. Also it is mentioned that at one point he was in the Army and left with a discharge. He also has a made up business called Kramarica Industries. Kramar throughout the nine years of Seinfeld never really has a job.

I watched a Seinfeld episode the other night. It was the one where George has a girlfriend who has a really big nose. George cannot stop thinking that if she got a nose job she would be much more attractive. Kramar makes a comment to the woman that if she had a nose job she would be just as pretty as any of the woman in New York. George is elated. His girlfriend is gonna get a nose job all because Kramar is rude. He thinks his girlfriends new look will turn him in to a short bold guy dating a beautiful woman. However, like always in Seinfeld things never turn out the way George wants them to be. In the end George loses the girl, and in same miraculous change of events Kramar ends up with the girl.

For my biology lab I have to do an enzyme report. The report starts with an introduction, which is basically what is an enzyme and what does it do. After that, there is a bunch of stuff leading all the way to the conclusion. The report is worth sixty points, which is roughly 15% of our grade. It should take quite some time considering the length of the report and also I want to try and make a good grade.

The Cowboys won today. That was a relief. Losing to the 0-4 Chiefs would have been pretty bad. Miles Austin had himself a heck of a game. He had something like 250 yards receiving and then touch down that won them the game. Although 3-2 is not anything spectacular. I'll definitely take that over 2-3. I am pretty sure they have a bi-week next week. Hopefully they can come back after the week off and win the next game.

Yesterday one of my best friends came back home from his college in San Antonio. Since my school is forty-five minutes away, I came back too to see him. Last night we went to our high schools football game. The game was alright. We played football together in high school, and he actually plays at his college. It was good to see him because I had not seen him in a while. Il probably hang out with him again later.

My brother came back home today. He goes to Oklahoma State and they have what they call Fall Break right now. Which is just friday (tomorrow) off from school. They are random days throughout the year off because they started a week earlier than most colleges. After I am done with class tomorrow him and I plan on going golfing tomorrow. Last time I went golfing I shot very well actually. Usually I am not the best golfer, but hopefully tomorrow I will do alright.

I rented the "Solist" on my Netflix account. I got it in the mail today. The movie is a great representation of how someone with schizophrenia actually acts. Jamie Fox does a great job of portraying a schizophrenic. The movie is great depiction of a homeless schizophrenic. Jamie Fox strangely resembles my brother in someways. His want to stay outside is just like my brother when he is having an episode. At my house every door is open and every window is cracked when Ryan is having problems. He loves to be outside. Also the manic talk that Jamie Fox has is in the movie is very similar to the way Ryan acts sometimes.

Today was a lazy day. I didn't do much. I came home from school and took a long nap. I woke up, and when I woke up I wrote the rest of my expressive paper. I then laid in bed and watched a movie. I watched "Bed Time Stories". It was alright. It wasn't a great movie but it was pretty funny, and I'm an Adam Sandler fan. Now my goal is to do my math and get to bed early.

The Cowboys were beat tonight by the now 4-0 Denver Broncos. Tony Romo looked horrible. I'm pretty sure there is going to be a boycott on Tony Romo here in the the near future if the Cowboys keep losing. Some of the balls he sailed over the middle should be a normal completion for a NFL quarterback. The game was very disappointing for me. To watch the Cowboys drive down and not be able to put the ball in the endzone at the end was not fun to watch. But hey, there is always next week. I guess.

For baseball, the team has to do a Habitat for Humanity project. The project is going to consist of rebuilding or building someone's house. The project seems like a really good gesture, and rebuilding someone's house is definitely a tremendous thing to do. For the deal we also have to write a journal that is pertinent to our experiences that we learned, and how it will help us for future life endeavors. I am excited to help someone in a such great way, as building a home for them. The Habitat for Humanity should be a very rewarding experience.

No 'e'

John took a look at his watch. It said 7:45. John had work in half an hour. John got up abruptly and found his pants. Without noticing what shirt was on the floor, John put that on also. John got into the junk that was his car for work without any food this morning. John was also to pick up a buddy on his way to work. Flying down the road, John didn't follow limits on signs. A cop with his gun out saw John going thirty past the limit. The cop took pursuit. John saw flashing lights in his mirror. John couldn't fathom how bad of a morning it was turning out. The cop did his usual bit and John got a citation. John was past angry. At arriving at his bud's John told his bud how bad of a morning it was. John was usually punctual. But today John was anything but punctual. Him and his bud got to work in half an hour. It was John's fault, but both could count on a good talking to from a boss. John told his boss his morning. John told him about his run in with a cop. All his boss had to say was simply don't do it again. John was thankful.
