The Southlake Carroll v. Allen football game last night was wild. It went in the double overtime. Carroll ended up winning in the second overtime when Allen tried to convert a two point conversion and couldn't make it. The game should never have gone to overtime though. Carroll had a chance to end the game but could do it in regulation. They had the lead with just a couple seconds left, and had to punt. A Carroll player thought it would be wise to down the ball after the punt, instead of letting the clock run out. So with just a second left Allen down by a touch down had a chance to tie the game. On the last play of regulation the Allen quarterback hit a receiver with a jump ball end zone to tie the game up. In over time, Allen lead off with the ball and score very quickly. Carroll responded with a touch down as well. In the second overtime Carroll got the ball first and scored a touch down and made the extra point. Allen scored too, but decided to go for two. Like said earlier they failed and that was the end of the game.
