I took my biology final this morning. It was pretty easy. I'm pretty sure I dominated it. This will be my last post, seeing as tomorrow we turn in our final essay, and that is the end of English.

Yesterday was a great day. I had about ten hours of sleep and was fully charged to do absolutely nothing. I laid around and watched college football all day. The games yesterday were great. The Cincinnati game came down to the wire and the Houston game also came down to the wire. Both games were very exciting and lots of fun to watch. Alabama whooped up on Florida, which was great to watch. Texas beat Nebraska and that game was decided by a last second field goal, literally a last second field goal. The Texas quarterback threw the ball away with 1 second left and Texas had time for a field goal , down by 2, to win the game. The Texas kicker made if from 46 out as the clock went from 1 to game over. After watching football all day, I watched more television. I watched Entourage for a long time before going to bed last night.

The weather lately has been very cold. It snowed yesterday morning, but I missed it because I was sleeping. On Wednesdays I don't go to class until 10:10, so I didn't wake up till 9:30. It was raining by that point and not snowing. There was snow however on cars and a little on the trees. It didn't stay cold enough long enough for the snow to actually mean anything. It just turned into a cold rainy day, which are the worst days. If it is gonna be cold and precipitate, the precipitation should be snow. This morning when I got up it was 32 degrees outside. Right at the freezing temperature. When I got in my truck I seemed colder in there then it was outside. I could see my breathe in my truck almost the entire drive to school today, until my cab warmed up enough. The heater at my apartment was finally used last night due to the cold weather. I hope it actually snows soon.

Finals are just around the corner. I got my first one on Monday of next week. It is my final for biology 1406. I had a test today in there and I believe that I did really well. The professor gave us the review today. It is very long and seems very intimidating. At least I will be very familiar with the stuff we just tested over, and the final exam is comprehensive, so that should be good. I got my final paper for this class due on Tuesday. Then a government final on Wednesday, that should be a breeze. And lastly, I have my math final next Thursday. I am a little scared about the Math final seeing as I barely have a C in that class.

Monday, November 30, 2009

Last night I stayed up late doing my biology review for my final test. The test is Wednesday and then we turn around and have our final exam the following Monday. I got about half of my review last night done. Some of the questions I remembered from lecture, and others I didn't have to foggiest idea as to what the answer was. Im sitting right on the border line of an A and a B, so I need to make an A on both the last test and the final exam. I feel like I know the material well for the Test Wednesday and should do well. For the exam, I am kind of afraid. It is comprehensive so it involves everything, including the stuff this semester I wasn't the best at, which was the cellular respiration and photosynthesis test. There was so many little things I had to remember that I just could not. I had the general idea, I mean I knew what cellular respiration and photosynthesis were, it was just tough. Anyways, this week and the weekend is going to be full of studying.

A man rode into town at about high noon. He was looking for another man and he was going to shoot him down. I had his six gun strapped around his waist and his rifle in his hands. He wore his hat down low and his his spurs glistened in the over head sun. He went straight into the heart of town, and walked into the old saloon. He found the guy he wanted seated at the bar. He called him out, told him they had a dispute to settle. The man got up from the bar with his drink in hand. He said he would be outside to fight in five minutes. The man that had come in the saloon walked out to wait outside. When the gentleman from the bar got outside, heated words started the fly. A crowd had assembled to watch the showdown. The men were yapping and hollering and the man from the bar drew first. The other man was quicker however, and shot the him right in the chest. The man from the bar dropped to his knees pistol in hand. As he feel forward in the dirt dead, the other man put his pistol back in its holster, and mounted his horse. And just as soon as the man had arrived he left. He had settled his dispute and was never seen at that town again.

I played Halo till five in the five in the morning last night, it was splendid. I can just sit and play and time just flies by. Like hours go past and it feels like a few minutes. I get so consumed with the game that I completely lose track of time. It is tons of fun.

Last night the Carroll football team got whooped. It was a bad game. Arlington Bowie dominated basically the whole time. Ever since Coach Dodge went to UNT the teams have never been as good. I feel bad for a couple of my buddies, but it is just football.

Friday, November 27, 2009

I just woke up. It is Black Friday and most people got up early and went shopping. Well I didn't go to bed till about the time they were getting up. I played halo till 3 in the morning. By the time I was done with Halo my eyes hurt. I had been playing since about 10.
Today I am gonna go to the Carroll football game. I am disappointed that it is not a Cowboys stadium. I would have liked to have gone back there. The place is huge. I swear they have over a million televisions, and then the huge screen. It is crazy.

Thursday, November 26, 2009

Thanksgiving! I have already eaten lots of food and I plan to eat a ton more. The cowboys are doing good and I am well fed. It is a good day.

Wednesday, November 25, 2009

Thanksgiving break has been very fun thus far. Yesterday i went golfing and got whooped. My best pal John came home today. I think I'll cry when he leaves me. Tomorrow I have to wake up early for the Macy's Day Parade. I won a contest over the radio and get to help hold the Woody Woodpecker float.

Monday, November 23, 2009

I did not have my lab today. I had only had school for 50 minutes in fact, which was amazing. I had lots of time to sleep and lots of time to study for my math test tomorrow. The last test I made a D on it, I want to at least make a B on this one. I don't know how possible that is for me though. I have already studied a bunch and done a lot of problems. I am probably gonna work on more problems till about midnight.

The Southlake Carroll v. Allen football game last night was wild. It went in the double overtime. Carroll ended up winning in the second overtime when Allen tried to convert a two point conversion and couldn't make it. The game should never have gone to overtime though. Carroll had a chance to end the game but could do it in regulation. They had the lead with just a couple seconds left, and had to punt. A Carroll player thought it would be wise to down the ball after the punt, instead of letting the clock run out. So with just a second left Allen down by a touch down had a chance to tie the game. On the last play of regulation the Allen quarterback hit a receiver with a jump ball end zone to tie the game up. In over time, Allen lead off with the ball and score very quickly. Carroll responded with a touch down as well. In the second overtime Carroll got the ball first and scored a touch down and made the extra point. Allen scored too, but decided to go for two. Like said earlier they failed and that was the end of the game.

My best friend comes home today. He goes to Dartmouth College, which is in New Hampshire. I haven't seen him since the summer. So I am excited to see today. He is going to our high school football game too. He played with me last year. He plays baseball at Dartmouth. I am not sure how much he likes it. He has lived in the metroplex all his life so I think New Hampshire is a big change for him. Also, he complains about all the homework he has to do. I understand that because we never did homework last year in high school, and college is completely different and I am sure his college is a little tough anyways.

Friday, November 20, 2009

The weekend is finally here. That is a great relief. I plan on doing nothing tonight, except sleeping a ton. Tomorrow, I'll sleep in till noon or so. Sleeping is about the best thing ever. I am going to go to the Southlake Carroll playoff game tomorrow night. It is at the new Cowboys Stadium, or Jerry World. I am more interested in hanging out in the stadium then watching the game. The thing is huge. I went there earlier this year for the Paul McCartney and I was blown away by the inside of the stadium. It should be a decent weekend. And then only three days of school next and Thanksgiving!

I didn't get bed till after 3 last night. So, when I got up this morning for english at 7 I was unbelievably tired. Professor Camplin's voice was gone and we just turned in our papers and left. That was pretty exciting because I had time to sleep before my next class. I took about an hour nap, a nap I really needed, and then got up for math. Math was so confusing today, I did not understand what the professor was talking about. That was a bit disappointing considering I have a test on Tuesday with that material on it. That class ended my day of school. I only had one class which was very nice. I drove back to Southlake to see my older brother. I took him to lunch and we played Wii. He seems to be doing good which is excellent. At about 3 in afternoon I had lost all energy, so I took another nap. This one was a little longer about 2 and a half hours. Now I am well slept but it is already 6 at night, so who knows when I will be getting to bed tonight. Hopefully not too later.

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

My older brother got out of the hospital today. He had been in there since early June, right around my graduation. This has probably been the longest stay he has had in the hospital. He seemed pretty much fine today when I went and ate dinner with him. He was very pleased to be out of the hospital. He gave me a hug and told me he was free. Hopefully his freedom will last this time.

When I went to the library to find a topic to research for my paper, I wasn't really sure what I wanted to write about. I looked through the schools suggested topics, but none of those appealed to me really. So, I just wandered up and down the aisles of books in the reference section looking for something that interested me. I found a book about court trials and I looked through the index for something that interested me. I saw a few trails that I remember hearing about either in school or on television, and then I saw Theodore Bundy. That name sounded familiar, but I wasn't sure who he was. I turned to his place in the book and it was Ted Bundy the serial rapist and murderer. Although what he did was horrific, it is somewhat interesting. His court cases where way out there and what he did was beyond terrible. After reading the section about Ted Bundy and taking a bunch of notes. I was interested and other strange and horrific court cases. I read the basis of several other court cases that caught my eye. I must have been in the library for like four and a half ours just reading text. That has got to be a first for me.

I had to turn off the Cowboys game, I couldn't watch anymore. They couldn't even put a point on the board. I am not sure what they were doing. You could blame it on all the injuries that happened during the game, but I don't think that is it. They played poor the entire game. They didn't even convert on third down until late in the fourth quarter. They were like 0 for 7 on third down conversions at one point. Before the end of the first half they were setting up a drive, and Roy Williams decides to fumble the football. They just looked bad tonight. The Packers were a very beatable team for the Cowboys. Next week they need to do better. I need the Cowboys to make the playoffs and do good, or at that point during the season I got no one to root for. Watching the games are much more enjoyable when the team playing is the Cowboys.

Saturday, November 14, 2009

I went to College Station yesterday to visit my friend that goes there. We went the the Texas A&M basketball game. That was pretty fun. After that we went back to his dorm. They have a big area that has pool tables and ping-pong tables. We played ping-pong for like three hours. We played doubles and we just beat the stuffing out of kids. I think out of like 15 games we lost maybe 1. Ping-pong last till about 1 in the morning, and at that point we were beat. I slept in his dorm but I had to sleep on the ground which was very uncomfortable. We didn't keep up till like noon and we went and ate lunch. I left College Station for Dallas probably around 2:30. Now I am back at my house and just watching some college football.

Thursday, November 12, 2009

I sit in this room all day long. Staring at the wall across the room, I envision myself running and passing through it like a ghost. I could stare a hole in the wall. The point where my eyes are hitting the wall is bound to break and open up. I wonder if I got up and ran at the wall, would it let me pass? Like diffusion I would be a particle that could pass unchanged through its permeable membrane. What would happen when I came out the other side. Would I be in the other room, or would I pass into nothingness; maybe I would be in another dimension. No, I couldn't pass through a solid wall with out a forceful impact. Either I would be wilted by the wall and fall to the ground a failure, or if it's thin enough I could bust through it. But, the wall will not simply let me pass. It is a solid structure that is not permeable to a human being. I can't stare a hole in and I definitely cannot make it move. I could just get up and use the door if I wished to leave. I'll use the door.

A traveler rested himself on a rock near the creek's edge. His tired and wrinkled eyes showed his age. He had been on this trip for weeks now, and he did not know when it would end. He put his sack down next to the rock and dug through it for some bread. He sat slumped over in fatigue as he at small bites from the piece of bread. He raised slowly going over to the creek. He dipped down and brought the cool water up with his hands to drink. He drank till he had his fill and then went back to the rock where his sack was. His break was over. He picked up his sack and set out again. He had left his home so many weeks ago, but his journey was only beginning.

I have not played a video game in about three months. I played video games all the time during the summer, and even a lot last year. I don't have enough time for them I guess. My friends and I would always play when we were at each others houses. Now I never see my high school friends. A new Halo game is coming out soon or already has. My friend that goes to Trinity University in San Antonio is getting the game when he comes back for the holidays. He says we are going to play over the Thanksgiving break. The other Halo games were some of the video games we played a lot. He is very good at Halo, or any first person shooter. I am not even sure what the new Halo game is called, but I am sure we will have a bunch of fun shooting the heck out of aliens and each other in it.

Monday, November 9, 2009

I am going to leave Richland College at the end of the semester. I gonna find a school to play football at. I quit the baseball team after the fall season ended last week. I do not want to continue playing baseball for this school nor at all really. Im not sure exactly where it is I am going to play football. I hope to transfer somewhere next semester and play there. I haven't decided if I am gonna go to a big school and walk on, or go to one of the smaller schools that offered me last year. I don't really know what I want to do at this point. Im going meet with my high school football coach tomorrow and he is going to help me out.

Sunday, November 8, 2009

The Cowboys play tonight. They play the Philadelphia Eagles. Hopefully they can beat the Eagles. If they win then they will take sole lead of the division. With the continuing decline of the Giants, the only two teams doing good are in the division are Dallas and Philadelphia. I think the Cowboys can pull it out and win. Over the past twenty games the Eagles lead the series however. The Eagles have fourteen wins and the Cowboys only have six. The Cowboys better win.

Saturday, November 7, 2009

The concert I went to last night was really good. Minus the Bear was great. The first two bands that started the show weren't fantastic, but Minus certainly was. They were a really good live band and did a good job. The songs sounded just like they do on their CDs. The concert went till like midnight about, and I had to drive all the way back to my apartment over here in Richardson. So I didn't get back to really late. I was exhausted and got to bed right away.

Friday, November 6, 2009

I am going to a concert tonight with my brother and my girlfriend. The name of the band is Minus the Bear. They are not a widely know band, but I find them really good. In fact I think I only know of six people that actually know and like them. Now I haven't asked everyone I know I they like Minus the Bear, but no one talks about them. They aren't played on the radio at all, which might even be a good thing because half the stop that comes on the radio is just terrible. The concert is at the Door in Fort Worth and I have to leave during the middle of rush hour traffic and drive from Dallas to Fort Worth. That is not going to be the best of drives. That experience right there might down play the concert, hopefully not. Hopefully Minus the Bear is really good and it is a decent night.

The Yankees won their 27th World Series last night. I decided during the game that I really did not want the Yankees to win. So of course I rooted for the Phillies. Unfortunately they did not win. They got beat 7-3, and that ended the baseball season. The Yankees first year in their new stadium and they win a World Series. Alex Rodriguez now has his first World Series ring, and Jeter has his fifth I think. I wonder when the darn Rangers will decide to win the World Series. Probably not anytime soon, or ever for that matter.

Wednesday, November 4, 2009

Game six of the World Series is tonight. I am confused on who I should pull for. On one hand I hate the Yankees, but on the other hand I really don't like Pedro Martinez. Any professional athlete that takes a 72 year old man, Don Zimmerman, and throws him to the ground by his head really isn't a nice person. He is a hot head that has gotten into it with tons of opposing team's players. In general I do not like the Yankees one bit. So cheering for either team is a little out of the question for me. However, maybe I'll pull for the Phillies just because if they win the Yankees the World Series is over and baseball is done for the year.

Tuesday, November 3, 2009

My brother is coming home this weekend. We are gonna go see a concert on Friday night. The band is Minus The Bear, and they are playing at the door in Fort Worth. I like a ton of their songs and I have heard they are decent enough live. So it should be a good concert. My friend that goes to Texas A&M is also coming back for the weekend. I think we are gonna go golfing Sunday morning probably. I got to get my elbow checked out on Thursday. If it's messed up then I probably can't golf on Sunday, which would suck. I have not seen this friend in over a month I guess. He came down once earlier this semester, I think at the beginning of September, so it has been a while. Him and I went golfing at least ten time over the summer.

Monday, November 2, 2009

Another World Series game is tonight. The Yankees are up 3-1 in the series, and are looking to put the series to a close tonight. The only problem with that is that the Yankees must face Cliff Lee. A pitcher who was beyond dominate earlier in this series verse the Yankees. Cliff Lee should handle the Yankees and the Phillies should win this game. Then the series heads back to New York where I am pretty sure the Yankees should win. I don't really have a preference on who I want to win in this World Series. The only two teams I really like are the Texas Rangers and the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays made it to the World Series last year but they lost to the Phillies. The Rangers have never even won a playoff series and I can't even remember the last time they made the playoffs.

Sunday, November 1, 2009

The Cowboys won today for the third straight week. Tony Romo has hit a hot streak. He has no interceptions in the past three games, which is a first for him. Miles Austin continues to play lights out after being named a starter. They are tied with the Eagles right now in the division, and they face them next week. Hopefully Romo can continue his sold play. It would be great for the Cowboys to get four in a row after next week, when going to Philadelphia. Then hopefully they will continue to do well and make the playoffs this year.

Thursday, October 29, 2009

My room mate went to the first game of the World Series in New York. He is a big Yankees fan and has been ever since I've known him. The Yankees, however, got their butts kicked last night. Cliff Lee the starting pitcher for the Phillis was dominate. He pitched the entire game and allowed no earned runs. He confused the Yankees hitters with his off speed, and his location of his fastball. The "heroic" Alex Rodriguez had a nice three strikeout game. Chase Utley a Phillis player had two big solo home runs. The Phillis lead the serious 1-0 now. The Phillis can hopefully beat the Yankees out.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009

My favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird. It and Frankenstein are the only books that I have read more than just once. Atticus Finch is my favorite character in any book or any movie/television show. His character is very honest and upright. He teaches his kids, Scout and Jem, a bunch of really good lessons in the book. He also represents a black man in a rape case when no one else is willing to. His good character permits him to see past black and white and focus on helping the innocent Tom Robbins in a time in this country, especially the South, when blacks were not given the same rights as white people. To Kill a Mockingbird is a great read because it tells such a good story.

Tuesday, October 27, 2009

It is almost Halloween. My girlfriend is coming back to town, and she expects me to dress up with her and go to a party. I haven't dressed up for Halloween since I was like eight. I don't particularly like Halloween, and I don't even like candy that much. The whole thing at my age seems pointless. I understand if you are a little kid and you go trick-or-treating, I get that, that is fun. I also understand if you are an adult with a younger kid and you wanna make it special for your kid, so you get into it also. But, Halloween doesn't really take to my fancy at this particular point in my life. I guess I will have to find some costume, and at least pretend to enjoy this silly holiday even though I find it pointless.

Monday, October 26, 2009

Yesterday I played in a golf fundraiser. It was a four person scramble. My team did pretty good. We finished the day at seven under par. Our team consisted of two of my friends, my brother, and myself. None of us play gold a bunch and I think we did pretty good considering that. With four people it was usually pretty certain that at least someone would hit a good shot, so that worked out well. We could have three of players hit bad shots and as long as one hits a decent shot, we get to go from where that one is for our next shot. I think the team that won was like thirteen under par, so we weren't to far off. It was definitely a fun day.

Saturday, October 24, 2009

The baseball team traveled to Paris, Texas today. We played Paris JC in a fall game this afternoon. We left shortly after 9am and got there a little after 11am. We stopped at a McDonalds along the way for some food. The game started at noon and we went eighteen innings. It didn't finish till about six at night. It was a very long day to say the least. However, I am home now and will be going to bed very soon. I have been looking forward to getting back in bed since I got up at 7:50am. This is very exciting to get some sleep.

Thursday, October 22, 2009

I watched Always Sunny in Philadelphia for the first time tonight. The episode that I watched was pretty good. The antics of the cast members was quite humorous. They were in the court room explaining to the judge why one of the members of the group shouldn't pay his car tickets. They had a very wild story on how they couldn't get into the Phillis game. When they tried to get there they ended up getting locked in a closet. Eventually they got thrown out the court room, and the guy had to pay his tickets. It was a good episode.

Wednesday, October 21, 2009

Alex Rodriguez has transformed from a superstar who was only average in playoffs, to a superstar who is super in playoffs. He has five home runs already in the playoffs. His slugging percentage is a thousand, and he now has eight consecutive postseason games with an RBI, that ties a Major League Record. Rodriguez five home runs have been in less then thirty at bats. During his previous 130 at bats prior to this years playoffs, he also had five home runs. His numbers for the postseason are astonishing. People are calling him Mr. Clutch. What happened to A-Rod is cheater? The mind set that a majority of baseball fans had earlier this year, when he confessed to taking steroids. I guess having one of the best postseasons in baseball history has put a shadow over his steroid use, for now.

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

The baseball team has open gym basketball every Tuesday nights. I am fixing to leave for that as soon as I finish this blog. Most of the baseball players are pretty poor at basketball, and most of the players are pretty dirty. There seems to be somewhat of a scuffle almost every time we play. The components of high testosterone and everyone pissed off because they suck amounts to lost of pushing and shoving. We usually play for about an hour or so. The games are five on five and a lot of the time the teams are unevenly matched. I will see how the basketball goes today.

Monday, October 19, 2009

We finally got to get back out on the field today in baseball. The recent weather had restricted us to no real field time in about two weeks. Tomorrow we are going to scrimmage another school. It is suppose to be 18 innings long which will take forever. I got a lot of studying to do tomorrow night, and it stinks that our games are gonna go so long. I got a biology test on Wednesday, and then a pre-cal test on Thursday. I am not to worried about the biology test, but the pre-cal one should be quite difficult.

Sunday, October 18, 2009

Good weekend of football. The only disappointment was that the Cowboys did not play. Well actually they probably would have lost, so maybe it was a relief. I very must enjoyed the College games on Saturday, especially Texas beating OU, and I also enjoyed the NFL games today. The Saints put a whooping on the evil Giants. Which is good because they were undefeated and they play in the Cowboys division. My favorite player to watch, when I can't watch the Cowboys, is Adrian Peterson. He had a great game which was fun to watch.

Saturday, October 17, 2009

The Red River Shootout is today. The game is between University of Texas and Oklahoma University. The game is at the Cotton Bowl just over in Dallas. I am routing for Texas, mainly because I hate Same Bradford the OU quarterback. One of my high school buddies plays for Texas. He is one of their running backs and had played a lot till he got hurt. Hopefully Texas can beat Oklahoma today.

In Seinfeld the character Kramar never really has a job. He doesn't seem to do any kind of work. All the other main characters jobs are shown frequently throughout the episodes. Jerry is of course a comedian. George has many different jobs and spots of talked about unemployment. He works for the Yankees at one point during the show. Elaine is either working as a assistant for Mr. Pitt, or she works for J. Peterman Catalogue. The other there main characters have regular jobs, but Kramar never seems to work. In one episode he stops his twelve year long strike at a bagel shop. Also it is mentioned that at one point he was in the Army and left with a discharge. He also has a made up business called Kramarica Industries. Kramar throughout the nine years of Seinfeld never really has a job.

Tuesday, October 13, 2009

I watched a Seinfeld episode the other night. It was the one where George has a girlfriend who has a really big nose. George cannot stop thinking that if she got a nose job she would be much more attractive. Kramar makes a comment to the woman that if she had a nose job she would be just as pretty as any of the woman in New York. George is elated. His girlfriend is gonna get a nose job all because Kramar is rude. He thinks his girlfriends new look will turn him in to a short bold guy dating a beautiful woman. However, like always in Seinfeld things never turn out the way George wants them to be. In the end George loses the girl, and in same miraculous change of events Kramar ends up with the girl.

Monday, October 12, 2009

For my biology lab I have to do an enzyme report. The report starts with an introduction, which is basically what is an enzyme and what does it do. After that, there is a bunch of stuff leading all the way to the conclusion. The report is worth sixty points, which is roughly 15% of our grade. It should take quite some time considering the length of the report and also I want to try and make a good grade.

Sunday, October 11, 2009

The Cowboys won today. That was a relief. Losing to the 0-4 Chiefs would have been pretty bad. Miles Austin had himself a heck of a game. He had something like 250 yards receiving and then touch down that won them the game. Although 3-2 is not anything spectacular. I'll definitely take that over 2-3. I am pretty sure they have a bi-week next week. Hopefully they can come back after the week off and win the next game.

Saturday, October 10, 2009

Yesterday one of my best friends came back home from his college in San Antonio. Since my school is forty-five minutes away, I came back too to see him. Last night we went to our high schools football game. The game was alright. We played football together in high school, and he actually plays at his college. It was good to see him because I had not seen him in a while. Il probably hang out with him again later.

Thursday, October 8, 2009

My brother came back home today. He goes to Oklahoma State and they have what they call Fall Break right now. Which is just friday (tomorrow) off from school. They are random days throughout the year off because they started a week earlier than most colleges. After I am done with class tomorrow him and I plan on going golfing tomorrow. Last time I went golfing I shot very well actually. Usually I am not the best golfer, but hopefully tomorrow I will do alright.

Wednesday, October 7, 2009

I rented the "Solist" on my Netflix account. I got it in the mail today. The movie is a great representation of how someone with schizophrenia actually acts. Jamie Fox does a great job of portraying a schizophrenic. The movie is great depiction of a homeless schizophrenic. Jamie Fox strangely resembles my brother in someways. His want to stay outside is just like my brother when he is having an episode. At my house every door is open and every window is cracked when Ryan is having problems. He loves to be outside. Also the manic talk that Jamie Fox has is in the movie is very similar to the way Ryan acts sometimes.

Today was a lazy day. I didn't do much. I came home from school and took a long nap. I woke up, and when I woke up I wrote the rest of my expressive paper. I then laid in bed and watched a movie. I watched "Bed Time Stories". It was alright. It wasn't a great movie but it was pretty funny, and I'm an Adam Sandler fan. Now my goal is to do my math and get to bed early.

The Cowboys were beat tonight by the now 4-0 Denver Broncos. Tony Romo looked horrible. I'm pretty sure there is going to be a boycott on Tony Romo here in the the near future if the Cowboys keep losing. Some of the balls he sailed over the middle should be a normal completion for a NFL quarterback. The game was very disappointing for me. To watch the Cowboys drive down and not be able to put the ball in the endzone at the end was not fun to watch. But hey, there is always next week. I guess.

For baseball, the team has to do a Habitat for Humanity project. The project is going to consist of rebuilding or building someone's house. The project seems like a really good gesture, and rebuilding someone's house is definitely a tremendous thing to do. For the deal we also have to write a journal that is pertinent to our experiences that we learned, and how it will help us for future life endeavors. I am excited to help someone in a such great way, as building a home for them. The Habitat for Humanity should be a very rewarding experience.

No 'e'

John took a look at his watch. It said 7:45. John had work in half an hour. John got up abruptly and found his pants. Without noticing what shirt was on the floor, John put that on also. John got into the junk that was his car for work without any food this morning. John was also to pick up a buddy on his way to work. Flying down the road, John didn't follow limits on signs. A cop with his gun out saw John going thirty past the limit. The cop took pursuit. John saw flashing lights in his mirror. John couldn't fathom how bad of a morning it was turning out. The cop did his usual bit and John got a citation. John was past angry. At arriving at his bud's John told his bud how bad of a morning it was. John was usually punctual. But today John was anything but punctual. Him and his bud got to work in half an hour. It was John's fault, but both could count on a good talking to from a boss. John told his boss his morning. John told him about his run in with a cop. All his boss had to say was simply don't do it again. John was thankful.

"Making the most of your losing streak. Some call it sick, I call it week". The singer Don Henley of the Eagles in this particular song, "Get Over It", is pointing out peoples distinct way of blaming something else for their faults. The song is attack at the way people always have an excuse when things don't go their way. One line goes "point your crooked little finger at every one else", which expresses the common way people react to something they have done. The "crooked" part is meaning they point their guilty finger. Don Henley is making light of societies stupid way of always having an excuse about something or other.

No Commas

John walked through the hall. He entered a room on his left. John walked into the empty room; he sat down at the empty desk. He waited. He sat there for quite some time before anyone arrived. From outside the hall he heard footsteps. A small man entered through the open door and motioned him to get up. John willingly got up and went towards the small man. The man told John that he needed to be wary of the other attendants on their floor. He should watch out for anyone trying to give him advice.

Cowboys host the Panthers tonight in their second home game. Hopefully they can pull through and actually win this one. That would be something. To start the season a dismal 1-2 would not be a good to put it lightly. The heroics of Tony Romo last week really helped them to lose that game. The Cowboys are without one of their starting backs Marion Barber. So hopefully Felix Jones can step up and be the only feature back. The Cowboys are in good position to win this game today because the Panthers aren't that great.

Yesterday started at 6 am. Not exactly when I wanted to start my Saturday. But, the baseball team had a game in Houston and we had to get to the field at 7 am to leave from there. So we drove four hours to Houston and played a 16 inning game. It was much hotter than it had been lately and that lead to a kind of miserably day. We didn't get back home till way late, I think it was close to 11 pm. It was definitely a long long day.

My friend Joe Cool is dominant at ping pong. He is the best of anyone I know at ping pong. I am iChating with him and another one of my friends. My other friend's name is Zack. He is my best friend and goes to Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. We are talking about nothing; just kind of jabbering about pointless stuff. iChat is fun.

It is almost the weekend., which means more football. The weekend brings many things one being no school which is pleasant. However, the most enjoyable thing about the weekend is the football. I get to sit around all day and watch college football on Saturday. And oh, wait! On Sunday I also get to watch football. What bliss? I usually don't watch any kind of t.v. programing except ESPN, and whatever channel is playing a good football or baseball game. I can't really watch the monotony and sameness of every stupid show on t.v. I only watch sports and that's how I like it. Well, I guess that's not entirely true, if Seinfeld is on ill watch that and I occasionally watch Family Guy. But that is pretty much as far as I stray from sports.

It is said that there is a Superman or a Superman reference in every Seinfeld episode. For sure you can catch a glimpse of Superman on Jerry's refrigerator or over by where his stereo is. Also some of the conversations are geared towards Superman. For instance, one episode George and Jerry argue is the Man of Steel has super human humor. They can't figure out if along with super speed, super strength, and whatever else he possesses if he should have super humor.

No Simple Senteces

I woke up this morning, and I went to get some breakfast. I ate oatmeal, and I had a glass of milk. After breakfast, I studied a little for my math test today; even so I still did poorly on my test. I came home, and I got in bed and took a nap. When I woke up from my nap, I went and got some lunch. When I ate lunch, I also watched some television. Football was on, and I decided to watch that. After I let my food digest for a little, I went and worked out. I lifted a little, and then I ran. Now I must go and throw some long toss, and then we got open gym for baseball.

The Cowboys lost an exciting one last night. The Cowboys scored to take the lead with only a few minutes left. However, the Cowboys let the Giants drive down and kick the game winning field goal with not time left. The new stadium lived up to expectations and there was a record 104,000 people at the game. The new stadium is definitely extravagant. I went to the Paul McCartney concert and the stadium was unbelievable. The Cowboys might not be the best team in the NFL, but there's a good chance they have the best stadium.

Sunday, September 20, 2009

The Cowboys' first home game is today. The first real game to be played at "Jerry World" or "The Death Star". The stadium tonight is expected to have somewhere close to 104,000 people, which will be a record attendance for a NFL game. Division rivals New York Giants come to get a butt whooping. I think the Cowboys should put it to them. Im definitely expected a victory and a good 2-0 start to this season.

In my opinion college football is about ten times more enjoyable to watch than professional. The intensity of rivals school is unparalleled by any rivalry in a conference in the NFL. Kids going out and fighting for their school is much more fun to watch than over payed players fighting for their next contract. College football season is really the most fun time of the year for television.

The dark and dismal days of mid September? The sun hasn't really poked itself here in the area since about last Thursday. I am on the verge of an indoor depression. Baseball practice has become but emails from Coach Wharton saying "don't bother showing up, the field is flooded". The rain of the past week or so seems somewhat uncharacteristic of this month here in the metro. Maybe it's just me, but I could definitely go for some sunshine.

The Texas Tech, Texas football game is this Saturday. Hopefully Tech can pull off an upset like they did last year and ruin the Longhorns season. That would make my weekend. I have been a Texas Tech fan for most of my life. My dad graduated from law school there and that's really the reason why I began watching the football team. What I like about Tech most though, is they always bring an offense to the game. They light up the scoreboard with points. Even the defense isn't always outstanding the offense usually is.

For the past two days baseball practices has been canceled. The recent storms have flooded the baseball field and inhibited any kind of practice. Today we were all ordered to the gym to play basketball. It is strange how quickly my basketball skills dissipated. I used to handle the basketball, dribbling wise, very well. Today I found myself losing control of the ball quite frequently. I guess the old adage "practice makes permanent" is true, because the exact opposite has taken affect. My lack of practice has caused me to suck.

What makes the Beatles so appealing to me?  It might be that they are the only band that I could listen to for hours on end and not find a song that sucked.  They have countless songs that I find very good.  From the simple tune of "Yesterday" to the transitions upon transitions of "Day in a Life", they are great.  The Beatles have tons of variety in their music.  The great variety is a product of the eccentric John Lennon and the knighted Sir Paul McCartney.  The talent between those two is unmatched by any other musical group.  Paul can sing the purest melody and then yell and scream so loud it makes you cringe.  John has a unique voice and sings brilliantly strange lyrics.

I never realized how physically taxing a 5 hour drive in rain is.  But, driving home from Fayettevill, Arkansas today had pouring rain every minute of the ride.  As of now my eyes hurt and I'm beyond tired.  The trip there also was in the rain.  However, I got there at 2:30 and not 9:30 which was much advantageous to having any amount of energy when arriving at my destination, but even so I went to bed a 10 pm that night.  Which by my account is a little early.

Start of the NFL season brings a heightened level of T.V. watching to my bedroom, so to speak.  I don't watch a wide variety of shows or television.  Mostly I stick to ESPN or the few shows that I actually enjoy.  But, football season is a time when I love to kick back and watch the tube.  It doesn't particularly even matter which team is playing.  I can usually find a player I like, and I can watch them.  Living in the metroplex my whole life has made me a big Cowboys fan.  I always got to stop whatever it is I might be doing and turn on the game.  Hopefully this year they can end the horrid streak of about 15 seasons without a playoff win.

The NFL season starts today.  The Pittsburgh Stealers battle it out against the Tennessee Titans.  The Stealers are the defending league champs, and the Titans went 13-3 last year.  Both teams are expected to do very good again this year.  Last year when the Stealers won the Super Bowl they took sole ownership as the team in the NFL with the most Super Bowl Titles.  Previous to them wining the Cowboys were tied with the Stealers with 5 Championships a piece.  Even though I am by no shape or form a Cardinals fan, I was definitely pulling for them last year because of that.

The U.S. Open is going on right now.  It looks to be a certain final match between Roger Federer the best tennis player of all time, and Rafael Nadal the best clay court player of all time.  However, I do not wish to really talk about the actual tennis.  In a Seinfeld episode Kramer tries to be a ball boy or man.  He has some wild adventures, and because it's Kramer things go a little array.  During this years Open a ball boy took a nasty spill.  The hilarity of that guys misfortune reminded me Kramer from that episode.

For some reason pitchers seem to hit me more than other players.  I don't crowd the plate and initiate anything that would encourage them to hit me.  I just seem to one of those players that has the unlucky habit of being at bat when a pitcher decides to loose control.  Last baseball season I got the rare chance to have back to back pitches, not just at bats, to where I got drilled right in the head.   Maybe I don't get out of the way in time.  But, that can't be the real reason because no one else is even thrown at as much as I am.  Getting hit twice in our fall game today sparked to write this blog.  Starting to think maybe I got some sort of curse.

An intriguing aspect of Seinfeld is Jerry's unique style of comedy.  A lot of the jokes are just common observations turned in to a clever or witty comment.  The show pokes fun at the obvious.  It uses retinue and every day stuff.  An example of this is Jerry's idea on same side couples at restaurants.  In a episode he remarks to call couples like that disgusting and just asking for attention.  An account that one might see at dinner and Jerry pokes fun at it, and turns it into witty humor.

For labor day weekend I decided to go home.  I took a long 30 mile trek back home to my dad's house.  My twin brother who goes to another school also came home for the long weekend.  I have a buddy that plays football for Trinity University.  His school was playing McMurrey University in Abilene.  We drove there and watched the game.

George continued...
George has many insecurities.  He is obsessed with trying to make people see him for more than he really is.  In countless episodes he is trying to make his appearance more enticing for the opposite.  But George's insecurities usually seem to get the best of him as for he as a cynical outlook on things.  He kind of lives through Jerry and his success with women.  In one episode George exclaims that "he can't possibly see any situation where he could ever have sex again".

Friday, September 4, 2009

Without contest George is the most deceptive and secretive character of Seinfeld.  His secretive behavior is at large because of his frugal and miserly personality.  George is promoted as cheap by the rest of the characters.  In one episode George asks " to know the truth". Elaine tells him he is cheap.  George is hurt by this  accusation by such a close friend.  However, the comment is precisely correct, George is extremely cheap and expresses this quality countless times in the episodes.

Seinfeld

In a hilarious moment in Seinfeld, the erratic  Kramer hops onto a fire truck and drives from the rear.  A moment that displays Kramer's child ambitions of driving a fire truck.  The episode captures the common childhood desire to cruise the streets in a big fire truck.  The episode displays this desire in a comical and amusing way.  Kramer's antics are extremely over the top as he waves from the back of the truck to friends while flying in his seat out of control.  The scene is one of the best scenes in a fantastic show.

Topic: Seinfeld

I am a habitual Seinfeld watcher.  The show, in my opinion, is beyond brilliant.  It captures lots of everyday occurrences and puts a humorous spin on it.  Since our daily blog is for the most part free writing.  I am going to on the days that something is not assigned write a blog that regards an experience of my day that reminds me of a Seinfeld moment.  Starting next blog.

Pg. 49, Question 3

King refers to his learning of words in a unique manner.  He says that at six your "Bingo balls" are still not all found.  He uses Bingo balls to symbolize how he hadn't quite figured out his diction yet.  Early in the reading he uses exaggeration to include how many comics he read while he was sick in bed.  At the end of the reading there are certain words that are italicized to show a specific meaning.  The italicized words make point of his fathers absence.  King uses literary techniques in the writing to show his own special voice and style of writing.

Pg. 17, Question 1

Similar to the quote from Lamott, I feel my first draft is where my messy and cluttered ideas flow out onto the paper.  It is usually unorganized, and needs some changing, but inside the mess might be what I'm looking for.  My first draft is different from Lamott's belief in that the mess I wrote down as my first draft is not derived entirely from my "childlike" voices.  Most of, or maybe all of, my writings are geared towards writing assignments where I don't exactly have the literary freedom or time to write unneeded silly lines just because my inner child wants me to do so.  Even though I agree to a certain extent that your first draft is a child's draft, for my first draft it more closely resembles a cluttered draft.  It is simply what I intend to say, not some mess of nothingness, but a mess with a purpose.  It intends to be exactly what I mean, all there is left to do is to change my clutter in to something that flows more sensibly.
